Answer: It fills the scratch flush if you put it in the crack flush. Once dried, you can wet sand, polish and buff the area and the crack is gone. -

How do you apply it?
Answer: It is pretty thin so I used 4 or 5 coats. (Otherwise it could run.) Note that I was repairing a 1 inch by 1/4 inch scratch in the side of the boat.

It is thin in consistency and may run when applied, making it difficult to use on vertical surfaces. Some users have also mentioned that the product had separated in the tube. The white color of the patch is not a true white, more of a beige or off-white shade. However, it is still close enough for repairs on the underside of boats or trailers. After drying, the patch can be sanded and buffed to a smooth finish. Overall, it is a decent product for horizontal cracks, but may require extra effort and precautions for vertical or sloped cracks.
