It is not recommended for Prismacolor Ebony as the lead diameter is too large. The compartment for shavings is small, and the lid hinges on flexible plastic. The sharpener comes with a couple of spare blades. It delivers a long point with a needle sharp tip. The blades are a cut above the typical sharpener and work automatically in two stages to sharpen the wood and the lead/graphite. The case is small enough to fit into a small area and has a real plus in catching shavings.
