Chinese Editorial Review
The product in review is a Chinese language learning book series that has garnered notably positive feedback from customers across various educational levels. It serves as a highly effective resource for beginners and those with some prior knowledge of the language. Users have found its structured approach helpful, gradually introducing essential vocabulary and common phrases throughout its volumes. The book is noted for beginning with pinyin and tonal markings, transitioning smoothly to character-only instruction, which caters to various learning needs. Customers have appreciated that the series covers key language skills—reading, writing, speaking, and listening—making it an all-encompassing resource for serious learners. The inclusion of workbooks allows for additional practice, solidifying the learning experience effectively. However, users were advised to also obtain the accompanying audio CDs or downloads to maximize the benefit of the exercises provided. While some reviews express a desire for more engaging visual elements, like colorful images, they generally agree that the material is robust and suitable for high school and college students alike. Students have noted the practical applications of the vocabulary learned, finding relevance in real-life scenarios when communicating in Chinese. Overall, this Chinese language learning series is well-received for its comprehensive, step-by-step approach, targeting both new and experienced learners. **
