About This Item

With a power output of up to 100mW and simple wire antennas, the RFM69 breakout can easily transmit messages from one side of a large office building to the other, even through numerous internal walls. In open air, you can reach impressive distances of 500 meters or more.

In fact, some enthusiasts have successfully transmitted data from space to the ground using similar parts and more complex antennas and modulation schemes. The RFM69HCW communicates with a host microcontroller using SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface), making it compatible with various Arduino libraries. It supports up to 256 networks with 255 nodes per network, ensuring scalability for your projects. Additionally, it features AES encryption to keep your data secure, and it can transmit data packets up to 66 bytes in length.
