responder: There is a small tab under the safety cap. Use a hard surface to gently push that tab into the scraper, this will release the slide or insert which holds the razor blade. The insert will slide out sideways and the blade can be removed. If the slide becomes stuck, use caution as the blade is extremely sharp.
