It features 248 mm or 9 3/4" mounting holes and stamped flanges, which would need to be upgraded if flatness and balance is essential. The actual output hp is 1/2hp, which is slightly less than 3/4 hp and noticeably lower than Baldor, DeWalt, and Jet products. The grinder is suitable for removing initial casting scale on small scale bronze/silver jewelry pendants. The distance between the wheels is 12.125" center to center, and it can take up to a 1" wide wheel. The light is of good quality and bright enough to stay where it is aimed, and the machine assembles easily and quickly. However, some wheels experience deflection, and the start-up is prompt but shut down is slow. Wheel deflection and poor start up may be addressed by correctly dressing them. The product is sturdy and low in vibration, but some reviewers have experienced poor packaging, bent wheels, and a dinged-up chassis. The tool may be efficient for average hobbyists but may not last with frequent and intensive use.
