The refurbished version is indistinguishable from new, and it arrives with a hard case and a rubber outer layer, however, the screen protector is absent. It works perfectly with the RC-N1 controller for drone pilots, but the US market version doesn't allow you to make or receive calls over Verizon or associated networks. However, it can still be used over GSM ONLY. The kickstand lock is the only downside as it craps out fairly quickly. It fits excellently with the tablet, but it's too thick to fit in holders designed for tablets. The strap is a helpful add-on for carrying the tablet. Overall, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 is well-made, sturdy, and worth the investment. **
