Although notorious for having a hard and painful break-in period, once they are broken in, they are amazing shoes that last a lifetime. Customers have found that they are stiff out of the box like all sturdy boots, but can be softened with products such as wonder balsam. The boots run 1/2-1 full size too big, but once the appropriate size is ordered, they fit great and are comfortable to wear.
