Flirc Test Probes & Leads FL-10269 Editorial Review
The Jeff Probe is a cheap SWD/JTAG adapter that comes with a UART breakout cable, can support SWD and JTAG, and is compatible with a variety of ARM CPUs. However, the creator's fork of software is very out of date and no longer builds in a modern Linux system. The Jeff Probe uses a SAMD21, not an STM32 and therefore cannot run the latest code. The lack of software support may make it difficult for both novices and experts to recommend this product. The Jeff Probe is comparable to the official Black Magic Probe with a less powerful MCU, and the price reflects this. On the other hand, it comes in a compact form factor, provides a UART port, and is well-made. This product is highly recommended for its affordability and functionality.
