It is best to use 3/8" tubing, but if the tubing needs to extend over a longer distance, 5/8" tubing can be used by stretching it a bit to fit the air outlet. This pump produces 40 litres per minute, and if just one diffuser is being used, it is recommended to use the Matala MDB11 diffuser. However, if two diffusers are being used, Matala MD-5W is recommended.
