It can be used to warm up the shoulder and practice the throwing motion, as well as for pitching drills such as snaps, T's and windmill drills. However, it is not recommended for batting. The ball is also available in a 9 oz weight for weighted drills. While the ball has a good feel, some customers have complained about the synthetic cover being slippery and difficult to grip for younger hands. The product is durable and has received positive reviews from customers on its effectiveness in helping improve throwing velocity.
