- Baki (1526-1600): The real name of the poet, who uses the pseudonym Baki in his poems, is Mahmud Abdülbaki, and he is known as the sultan of poets. XVI century of Ottoman Empire bureaucrats and poets. It is the most prominent in the century. One of the things that pleased Suleiman the Magnificent the most during his reign was that he discovered a talent like Baki. Baki is described as the first innovator in Ziya Pasha's Harabat. According to Muallim Naci, he is the language teacher of the nation, the Hafız-ı Şirazi of the Ottoman consciousness on Recaizade's poetry scale, and a skilled poetry worker in Tanpınar's eyes. Baki, one of the most important poets of Ottoman poetry with his lyrical syntax, perfect form, solid words and semantic structure, clean and harmonious pronunciation, is the author of Mealimü'l-Yakin fi Sireti Seyyidi'l-Mürselin, Fezailü'l-Cihat, Fezail-i Mecca and distinguished prose works called Hadis-i Erbain Tercümesi, as well as his Divan.
