- 1934 yılında yazılan ancak Ayn Rand'ın ölümünden uzun yıllar sonra, ilk kez 2015'te yayımlanan İdeal şimdi Türkçede. Ayn Rand'ın ilk önce bir roman olarak yazmayı planladığı ancak daha sonra tiyatro oyununa çevirdiği İdeal, halk arasında ve sinema dünyasında çok popüler olan ancak yaşadığı topluma bir türlü uyum sağlayamayan güzel aktris Kay Gonda'nın hikayesini anlatıyor. Cinayetle suçlanan Gonda, kendisine daha önce mektup yazmış altı hayranını (saygın bir aile babası, solcu bir aktivist, alaycı bir ressam, bir evanjelist, bir playboy ve toplumdan dışlanmış düşkün bir adam) tek tek ziyaret ediyor ve mektuplarında ondan büyük övgüyle bahseden bu insanlardan yardım istiyor. Hayranların her biri, idealize ettiği Gonda'yı karşısında görünce farklı bir tepki veriyor ve Gonda'nın yaşadığı bu şaşırtıcı deneyim, uzun süredir ardında koştuğu sorulara bir bir yanıt oluyor. İdeal ilk olarak 1934 yılında roman formunda kaleme alınmıştı. Fakat Ayn Rand temanın tiyatro için daha uygun olduğunu düşünerek roman fikrini rafa kaldırdı.
