What is the size of the EWP steel string piccolo acoustic guitar?

It has a compact size similar to a ukulele.

What kind of strings does it have?

It has steel strings for a familiar guitar player feel.

What is the nut width of the guitar?

It has a comfortable 42mm nut width.

Is the tone and loudness enough for playing outside? As it's small?

I regularly use mine in a quartet playing bluegrass and other folk music with vocal harmonies. This little guitar cuts through really well, especially for solos. I think you'll find it works fine for busking. I absolutely love mine. Hope you do too.

Is this a guitar or a piccolo?

This is a small guitar, tuned 4th higher than a regular guitar hence the name piccolo-guitar.

Is this electro acoustic? Have jac input to amplify?

No. acoustic only. You may be able to get a luthier to install a piezo pickup under the bridge because it has a regular acoustic guitar bridge.

Are there two strap buttons to attach strap? Does it take standard jac lead for playing amplified?

One metal strap button on tail of guitar. You'll need to tie the other end of the strap around the neck up near the nut. Acoustic only. No pickup in guitar. No jack.

How is this instrument tuned? Is it guitar or guitalele tuning?

It is tuned like a guitar with a capo on 5th fret, so ADGCEA.

What is total length of this guitar? Is it really miniature guitar under 1kg?

Yes, although I found the fretting was out and could not get it in tune over the neck and returned the guitar. It could have been a one off or a bad batch.

Why is this called an electro-acoustic when it doesn't have pickups?

Completely mis-labelled. The version here is acoustic only. No pickup or preamp.

Just bought this, can I play normal guitar tabs on this using same frets? (Tried capo on 5th but felt restrictive so I'd like to play without capo)

Playing chords on it with open strings (so no capo) is the same as playing with a capo on the 5th fret of a normal sized guitar.

Is this fine to play as a guitar? (Capo on 5th fret) would highest frets sound fine? Can tabs be changed for capo on ultimate guitar app?

Yes. It is exactly like a guitar. But tuned 4th higher. As you say, like a guitar with capo at 5th fret. No idea about ultimate guitar app.

About This Item

Introducing the Ibanez EWP14WB-OPN Piccolo Mini Size Acoustic Guitar with an Exclusive Bag. This 2016 model is designed to offer guitar enthusiasts a unique instrument at an affordable price. The EWP14WB features a cute and compact piccolo size, perfect for musicians on the go. With a shorter 17.1 inch (432 mm) scale neck compared to the typical 500 mm scale of mini guitars, this guitar is incredibly portable.

Its 5 capo tuned bronze strings, attached to the 5th fret of regular tuning, create a unique and versatile sound. What sets the EWP14WB apart is the choice of materials. The body is crafted from exotic heathered grain OvanCole, giving it a distinctive and eye-catching appearance. Each guitar has a unique heathered look, making it truly one-of-a-kind. This mini acoustic guitar comes with an exclusive bag for easy transportation and protection.

Take it with you wherever you go and be inspired to play your music anytime, anywhere. Please note that due to the paint specifications, there may be fine unevenness derived from wood. The thinner finish than typical paint also allows the wood to interact more with the air, resulting in a great tonal effect. Embrace the natural and rustic charm of this instrument. If you're in need of replacements strings, we recommend the Ibanez IPCS6C, which are currently on sale. Don't miss out on the chance to own a truly unique and portable acoustic guitar.
