Detalles de producto
- Welcome to our world, the world of the ordinary golfer. This book is the first compilation of the Rules of Golf according to the North Park Golf Association. The Rules were found to be necessary for the mental health and sanity of the multitude of golfers all over the world who know, with just a little more time and practice, they could do better both as golfers and as human beings. The sad truth is this: The definition of insanity is playing golf over and over again and expecting a different result. Yet we play. And we pay good money to play. And we gleefully squander any financial windfall on a new set of Pings. And if the new clubs don’t result in lower scores, we blame the course, the weather, the gods. Or at least that’s what we tell our long-suffering spouses. So the first lesson in golf is to realize that the distance between you and the world’s No. 1 golfer is tantamount to the distance between Earth and the Oort Cloud. That distance is not going to be crossed by a human in your lifetime. However, the world’s No. 1 golfer is given advantages not available to you and me. This is one of the revelations available in this book, and the reason for the North Park Golf Association Rules of Golf. We are the people I've played with for decades, and you'll meet them all at their best and their not-so-best. They will help you understand that the purpose of this book is to make the game more fun and less taxing on the golfer's soul, so enjoy. Daha fazla göster
