I have bought this item and just got around to installing it, shower mode wont stay on unless you keep the knob pulled up. Is there a way to fix it?

Is the distance between hot and cold standard? I am wondering if it will, for sure, fit what I have now. It does look very similar, but is it standard
responder: We had a plumber install ours and it replaced the existing one without any problems. It looks a standard width. Hope that help -

responder: I would think so I changed from single hot and cold taps and my bath is a few years old and it worked and it was easy to fit. -

The tap is not plumbed in yet, but I’m assuming I should still be able to lock the shower selector knob into the up-position? I’ve tried turning it.
responder: Moment you the open taps and want shower'all you do is pull it up and it stays in that position. Only when you turn taps off it pops down. If it doesn’t do this then it must be faulty but you can’t keep it up before you place taps on they must be on already for it to work. -

responder: Not too sure but should fit 99% of baths as they use a standard measurement when producing baths,it fitted on mine no problem.
