- The two-way mirror also known as See-Thru Mirror, has a semi-transparent film of aluminium deposited on an acrylic substrate which allows a percentage of incident light to pass through while reflecting the remainder. When illuminated, the side with the light source will be reflective and the opposite (darkened) side will be transparent.
- Made from acrylic, it benefits from the typical attributes associated with other acrylic sheets including being lightweight and shatterproof and therefore an option to be used where safety is paramount such as around children and animals.
- he material can be used for a wide range of applications including monitoring and surveillance operations including in stores, post offices, banks, correctional and psychiatric institutions, hospitals to casinos. The two-way mirror is also commonly used to create infinity lights and multiple image devices.

responder: Yes, it can be cut to limitless shapes and sizes. -

responder: Absolutely, it is lightweight and shatterproof, making it a safe option. -

responder: We recommend using Evo-Stik acrylic mirror adhesive to avoid surface damage. -

Can this be laser cut?
responder: The only main issue with laser cutting is the heat which might deform the edges and distort the mirror. We would tend to use a flatbed router cnc machine to cut this with a clearcut router bit that gives a polished look. Edge finish isn't usually an issue as edges are usually covered. -

If I use this in a large size and place a small monitor behind at full brightness in a dark room, would I basically see the TV area through the mirror?
responder: Yes, you will be able to see the display behind the mirror even in daylight, but it is better in the dark. -

Does it matter which way round you install this mirror?
responder: Yes, one side is coated and is normally on the inside to protect it. The coated side has a protective film that is barely hanging on, while the other side is just clear acrylic. Use the side with the protective film as the face to protect the product. -

responder: No, the touch screen capabilities will not work when the mirror is placed in front of a touch monitor. -

Is this product suitable for use in an external environment, e.g. the garden?
responder: The mirror's silvering is on both sides of the Perspex, so it would be exposed to the elements and most likely be damaged by weather and moisture. -

Does this material work to make a TV mirror when it is turned off?
responder: Yes, it can be used for a TV mirror when it is turned off, but it will not be as bright and clear as a glass product specifically designed for that purpose. -

Can I use this on an inside bathroom opening so no one can see in?
responder: If there is stronger light on the other side, it is possible to see through. If the bathroom has a lot of light, it is not recommended. If it is darker than the rest, it should be okay. -

Would this work in a bird watching shed so that the birds can't see you and won't get frightened away?
responder: It may work for that purpose, but it is recommended to purchase a small sample first to ensure suitability.
